We just tapped the last bit of my favorite cider thus far: Pyrite. ***EDIT: It’s all gone***
This Pyrite is the same batch from a few months ago – a result of 10.5%+ ABV Imperial Handlebar Hard Cider fermented and aged in a Breckenridge Bourbon Barrel for seven months. It’s like the apples ascended to Barrel Heaven, then returned to earth for us to enjoy.
Once this batch is finished, the next Pyrite tapping won’t be until 2015 (with one that has been sitting in a Breckenridge Barrel for an entire year). Come on in and help us finish this current batch off. Cheers!
